Rather than modify my NAD T163 pre-pro I have decided to sell it for the price I paid. ($700 shipped to your door) Paypal is fine.
Unit works great, is in excellent condition and has been updated to the latest firmware so it supports pro-logic IIx (if interested in such things).
The sound is very NAD (nice and laid back) and it sounds great with most kinds of music. For my tastes (mostly HT) it is a little to laid back with my LSi's. Would be awesome with RTi's, SDA's or any of polks brighter speakers or if you just like a very laid back, warm type of sound. I purchased it about two months ago and was considering modifying it to get the sound I wanted but rather than that - I will just sell it and try something else.
I have the original box that it will be sent out in. (double boxed) as well as the second zone remote control (and of course the primary remote control).
I also have the service manual that I purchased while I was considering modding it. The service manual is in .pdf form and I will send a printed out copy of the service manual as well as a copy of it on CD.
Pics will come tomorrow when I pull the unit from my rig. Any questions - just ask.
Thanks for your consideration,
Michael

What the hell is wrong with you people? Somebody should be all over this.
This would be a great deal even if only using it as a 2 channel pre-amp. -
^ I concur to that! Damn good price.

Off the market. The piece that I was needing the money for is sold (not to me), and I am unsure when another deal like it will come along. While laid-back it still destroys the Onkyo that I used to have to the point I don't really want to go back to it for any length of time.
Will try to give another listen to Opus's Rotel and make sure I heard what I thought I did and if so - wait for him to upgrade then try and "borrow" his rotel in the confusion...
Thanks everyone.

And Integra Research RDC-7. A hell of a deal as the cheapest I have seen go up for sale went for about $1,200. (average price is around $1,500 or so - used of course)
I was going to purchase tonight, but the owner of the preamp mentioned last night that he had sold it. I have decided to keep the NAD (and potentially mod it) until you upgrade and then I will hopefully purchase your Rotel since I have heard it in my system and liked what I heard.
(no pressure... )
