Need some advise on a amp

I found a Adcom gfa 5500 on audiogone for $495 and was wondering if it was a good price? I'll use it to drive the Rti 8's. I will eventually buy a center and rear speakers, but I'll wait till the new Rti's come out and the price drops. I plan on using the reciever to drive them untill I can find a gfa 5503.

    What are you using as a reciever? Does it have pre outs?
    Are you planning on using the 5503 for mains and center in the future, and the 5500 for the rears?
    $495 isn't to bad if it is newer, and in nice shape.

    Tx sr703 Onkyo with pre outs and yes I'll use the 5500 to drive Rti 8's until I can buy a Csi 3 and a pair ok Rti 4's. Then I plan on buying a 5503 to drive the fronts and move the 5500 to the rear.

    Sounds like a good plan. Add an SVS sub woofer and you are in business.
