Welp, the single-player demo is up. Lotsa fun, though I never played the first one. Probably won't buy it, due to a flood of other stuff coming out, and Ubi sorta burned me on R6:V...but maybe I'll rent it or something. Still, the graphics are absolutely incredible, and the controls, while complex, were fairly easy to pick up.

Demo was pretty fun. It is really difficult going to a GRAW style cover system after playing Rainbow 6:Vegas though.

I liked it a lot at first (first game I got for the 360), but steadily lost interest in it to the point where I have no desire to play it again...and that was just the SP portion. I thought the MP was terrible from the get-go and never got into it...I don't like being a un-paid bug tester. I didn't HATE the game, but to say I'm wary of more of the same is an understatement.

But anyway, how does the GRAW 2 demo compare to the original game?

Bugs? Played the game ad-naseum for a month and only noticed one map in MP that was jacked up.

Eh, just little things...exploits (host team getting explosives when they are banned, booting the winning team, etc.), plus the fact that an MP5 worked just as well/better than the sniper rifles at range was tad annoying as well. They patched some things after I gave up on it, but by that point I had Lost Planet, so I didn't give it second notice. Maybe I should...

According to Microsoft and interviews I had read a while ago on Gamespot GOW2 is going to be an Every 2 year release. So Halo 3 this year GOW 2 Next November (2008) Halo 4 the following November (2009)...you see the pattern. M$ want's a killer release every Christmas, and this is their strategy.

I may pick this one up. This demo was much more fun than the demo for the original.

Man, for some reason, I didnt really like the first GRAW. I felt that I didnt have full control of the guy when he shot. I dont know, maybe GRAW 2 is better.

I sure do hope that Halo3 come out soon.....

See you guys on Live...count me in...

Mutelight...since when is Halo 3 the last Halo? I find it hard to believe that Bungie would scrap one of the most popular games of the current consoles after 3 games? I dont think M$ would allow that to happen, that is one of the main reasons Xbox's sell, you kill that series and you might as well kill the Xbox.

    :p

Yeah dude freaking single player is just plain sick. Got through act one and really enjoyed it. Took about 90 minutes, so the single player game looks to be really short. (There are only 3 acts)

As for the multi-player the new maps are very large (the ones I played in) the co-op campaign is just plain tough, you really need at least 5 players for it, but realistically 8 players if you want to finish them on a regular basis. BUT the co-op campaign adds more bots if there are more players in the game, so it is just really tough. PLUS in order to get co-op acheivements you have to finish all of the objectives with NO respawns. Doing that with 2 players is just to hard.

Overall a solid 8/10. Graphics are Bumped up too...looks real nice.

Finished single player. Definitely a tad easier than GRAW 1, possibly that I am getting used to how to control the little bird and abrams, when they are available. :)

Polkatese..I agree. I thought it was easier, but we are used to it more, but for some reason I thought the way the tanks and helo's moved was more fluid than the first game. I think they tweaked it a little bit. It just seemed way to damn bothersome in the first game.

Also I thought the squad mates responded to your commands better. In Graw 1, they would stay in place for a few minutes then run off to where you were at, and that was just so dang frustrating, because I would set them up for cover fire while I went around, and next thing I know they are next to me....Graw 2, they stick to your commands, and do not move at all until you ask them to regroup or move to a different position.

The only thing I did not utilize at all in this game was the "third" person view of your squad mates or tanks/helo's. I just never felt I needed to use that.

I used the "third" person view whenever I've granted Little bird...that chopper is awesome, literally gives the new meaning to "death from above" !

Either way, I am sorry that I am done, wish I could play some more...
