My Latest Acquisition for HT

I purchased this today new, in the box for $700 less than the MSRP.
This home theater system is going in my media room where my 2 ch rig currently resides.
I have an InFocus 4805 projector, Oppo DV 970 HD, Polk RT2000P fronts, Polk CS350LS middle, Polk RT FX bi-pole di-pole rears. I have Comcast HD DVR for cable there but will only be using it for movies and the same goes with the projector in general, only movies. Really the only thing left to buy is a decent projector screen, cables and wires. I do have Monster Powerline 2 Time Coherent speaker wires but I'm only using that on the front and center speaker.
Of course I know nothing about HT so all this stuff is very overwhelming to me but with your help I'll get this bad boy up and running and shaking the ballini hairs in no time. The funny thing is I don't have any furniture in there . . .well that's no entirely true I have a big couch in there but that has to go.

I like Nad gear. I think you'll like it a quite a bit when you get it up and running, I've always had very positive experiences running their stuff. Looks like you're on your way to a damn decent setup!Lovin that music year after year.

Nice. Be sure to get some pics when you finally get it all together! I've envied the NAD line for a while... just don't have the dough to take the next step up.

Actually when Antny demo'd the RT2000Ps for me and my wife in his HT rig, the subs in the RT2000Ps had our pubic hairs trembling so I don't think I'm gonna need a sub. In-case I do, do you have any suggestions for me? -
Way to go Joe!! You're gonna love it. Plenty of good, clean musical sound. NAD gear is first rate. Now about that sub? I'll be back down & give it a listen. You still might need a sub. SVS ring a bell? Just don't tell Phyllisann.

With any of the brighter Polk speakers I think the NAD stuff would be great. I really like the sound of mine but it is a little laid back with the LSi speakers. I will let you know if I come up with any good ways to remedy that.....
MichaelMains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms) -

Thank goodness I got to hear the NAD in your system. I wasn't buying this blindly. I don't know if I would need to the sub Phil although your SVS is awesome sounding and feeling.
I like NAD gear, I have two 2200s amps in the late 80s and was pleased with them. I had them connected to the first generation SDA/SRSs. -

Yes, you need a sub for HT.
My fronts dig down to about 20 Hz without breaking a sweat, but it's still not nearly enough for the true HT experience
Lots of good stuff out there to choose from. What's your budget? Can you DIY? How large is your room?HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

The budget is growing smaller but is still cooking. I'm not able to do any DIYing right now in that we just moved in and are still getting settled. The room is 11 1/2' x 19' 8". The HT is on the short wall. -
