I was wondering if the replacement subs have been shipped out yet. Kim Jasper said late July or the first week of August. I sent mine back in April so I have been waiting for a while. Any help will be appreicated. Thank you.

We're not happy about it either- we've had quite a few people working on this ever since the problem was discovered. We originally thought we'd have enough MM100 and MM120's to last us through the summer and the transition would have been smoother, but we sold out of the MM100 and MM120's way before expected and then ran into a probelm with the new subs.

In case you haven't seen this one yet. We're doing our best to get customers taken care of as quickly as possible but more importantly to make sure that when the customers do get the woofers that they won't have another problem.

Why does it seem polk has always had a glue problem with the spider and it separating from the cone?

The original MOMO series was doing this as well, and I was wondering exactly why this continues to occur on these subs?

Does the fact that heat builds up in a sealed enclosure lead to early driver failure? I understand that the pole is vented, but with only .88 cubic feet of air i'm sure it gets warm inside rather quickly at higher volumes. Is there any way to put some sort of coolant system into the box that would allow the driver to remain cooler, and thus hopefully extend the life of the driver?

I'm personally on driver #4 when it finally arrives, hopefully before the snow flies, and 2 of the first 3 had glue issues in a sealed and bandpass enclosure.

    Looking for some answers...:)

Well, looks like momos have been pushed back AGAIN to mid september. What a good way to treat your customers; keep their subs for half a year and keep pushing back release dates. Give the stores them before the guy who has his subs gone at Polk for half a year.

I'll tell you why they're having problems --- least this is my theory... again i could be totally off... but here goes.

It's not their fault --- its a new item... "**** will happen". You've got subs that are cutting edge quality, and I can just see the engineers sitting there for hours working on coil schematics and driver perfections, and the last thing they expect to go is the stupid glue.

I imagine its as frustrating for polk as it is for their customers, but from experience I can tell you this --- given the opportunity, and some patience, polk always gets it right in the end -- and 99.99% of the time it turns out that it was more than worth waiting for.
