This is really a multi subject thread. It involves electronics, speakers, subwoofers. Everything.

So, my system is mainly based on 2 channel music and for 2 channel music, it defiitely excels. I would say the biggest weakness is without a doubt Home Theater. It just isnt there.

Well the Odyssey Audio Candela has a HT Bypass, so I was thinking about getting a unit like an Outlaw preamp or Emotiva (I like the Emotiva better) and using some its features.

Here is the idea...

Basically, I will be running dual subs - and for music Ill have the crossovers set to where I want them, via the subs. And a I would run one cable to one of the inputs on each of the subs and that would go to the Odyssey.

Then I would go on the LFE out on the HT preamp and run it to the other inputs - and I would disable the crossovers before a movie and use a preset 80hz xover and boost the subs via the LFE level on the preamp to get the volume I want out of them, so basically all I would be doing is flipping two switches to get the performance I desire.

Any thoughts?

Another benefit to this is I can crossover my mains as well and can therefore crank it a lil louder.
- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Good ideas. Only suggestion would be to run the subs directly to the HT preamp for movie use.
