I got two Momo mm12's but need a new amp. What type would be the best for these subs??
Thanks

    what's your price range?

how much power do they handle (RMS value, peak is meaningless)?

    single or dual voicecoil?

The old MM12 boxes were SVC. Just look for a good Class D mono amp that makes 800-1000 RMS x1 at 2 ohms.

you want 1000 watts for 100-150.... probably gonna have to hit the pawn shops... just look for a known brand... and avoid sony...

Ha! Probably wouldnt even find that at a pawn shop!!! Any amp that "claims" 1000 watts or $150, I wouldnt touch with a 10 foot pole!

You could get close to that with a refurbished Kicker ZX750.1 ...they usually put out a little over 900 watts RMS. They have some Kicker authorized B-stock dealers that you can get them from. They go for around $200 bucks. You could also pick one up used on Ebay.

used you can sometimes find that good of a deal, all depends on the market and if the pawn shop realizes what they have in that particular amp...

there's a reason the company is called Pyle... cause that's what they are... blitz is another crappy low end manufacturer...

If you want a budget amp, Profile is about the best there is.

    Crutchfield.com has them.

If you can find a used Eclipse 34230, it should be right around 200 dollars (have been following a few on Ebay)... and it will be pretty much perfect.

If you can find some old stock Hifonics Nemesis amps, they had a 750Wx1 and a 900Wx1 amp. You can probably find them used or "old stock" on closeout for less than $200. They are stout and I've used a couple of the Nemesis amps. They are basically the original Zeus series amps without all the bells and whistles.

No sony car electronics is worthwhile, Amps, Headunits, Speakers, none of it... they make a damn good TV though lol...

so i guess if you want to put a 30" LCD in your trunk sony would probably be the way to go :p
