RTi Series. . .Where to buy?

Hello.

I'm a newbie, though I've been lurking for several weeks before actually joining the forum. I have a pretty dumb question. I live in Southern California (San Fernando Valley Area). Does anyone know a store that I can find the RTi Series? Polk lists Circuit City and Frys as the major chains that carry Polks, but Circuit City doesn't carry this line and both Frys stores I went to had damaged speakers as their demos and even worse customer service. The other dealers that Polk lists seem to be non-existant store fronts. . .strange. Any advice on a reputable store where I can actually listen to a non-damaged speaker would be awesome!!!

Thanks,
Eric. . .

    Hey Eric,

It sucks, but I think Frys is it...up in NorCal too. My recommendation is to use their 30 day return policy and give them a listen at home. I did and was impressed though it just wasn't what I was looking for. Frys demo rooms are cluttered, but you should be able to give them a comparative listen between models. Trust me, they'll be much better at home.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE

Try crutchfield. They offer free shipping a lot.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

The closest Tweeter store is "only" about 60 miles from me. I ended up dealing with the Fry's BS and purchasing a pair of RTI8's at Fry's over the weekend. I probably spent as much time waiting for them to get the speakers out of the back for me as I would have driving to Tweeter and back. On a plus note, I love the speakers. A total improvement over the R50's that I had. I'll probably end up at tweeter at some point in time since my next upgrade will most likely be a pair of FXI3 surrounds. Fry's doesn't carry these.
