I think I've somewhat settled on an Acurus A200five or Sunfire, both five channels. As the fnds become available I'll pick up another down the road and bi-amp my 150's and power the rear 2 channels.

I just purchased a (new) sunfire tga-7401 for 2495... I was going to purchase the TGA-7201 and the vendor called me and offered me a 7401 for $400 bucks more... Glad I made the choice... I paired it with a Marantz AV7001 and hooked the whole think up to my LSIs.

    LSI 15's

    LSI C

    LSI FX's

    LSI 7's

    Micro Pro dsw 1000

    OPPO BDP 93

I ran the Audessy setup, and in a vaulted ceiling room, this system kicks butt. I threw in a oriental rug, and close the curtains, and Audessy did a nice job. Now I don't want to leave the room...

Holy sh%* do these LSI's sing now. I read that the LIS's love power, and the more you give them the more impressive they are.

The sunfire has endless power, and it is even impressive running 2 channel through the AV7001 (something I wasn't expecting). Also the Sunfire runs cool so you can enclose it in a cabinet with no worries. I hooked the LSI 15's up to the current source plugs on the amp, and the bass is solid, and classical music presents an awesome image.

It was hooked up to a decent Yamaha RX-V871 receiver before, but this is off the scale compared to my previous setup. I am stunned at how well this does everything from TV to audio to SACD.

I was holding out for a McIntosh mc207, but they are ridiculously over priced. And I got the Sunfire and Marantz forabout half of what the Mac would have cost.

All in, including TV (Sony KXBR55, PS3, Panamax, 4 Bello Stands and cables, I spent less than $9500, and am in my own little heaven. I am sure there are folks out here who have spent alot more and have awesome systems, but I got a lot of bang for my buck.

The only question i have is: I have the 7's as right/left surrounds, and the FX's as the rear surrounds... should I switch that ... does anybody have any experience or wisdom on this?

    Happy Holidays to all!!!

Looks like you have a very nice sytem. I don't have the FX's so I can't offer a suggestion on that. But you are in a 5 year old thread, I suggest that you start your own. And welcome to Club Polk.
