I am wanting to replace my current front speakers which are 10 years old. I will also replace the center speaker. This for a home theater system. One of my problems is I only have a Yamaha RX-V1300 AV receiver which has 100 watts per channel, 6.1. What speakers would you'all suggest for me. Two fronts and a center speaker. I am allotting $1500.00 to 2000.00.

Well Polkies, I assume that Polks aren't for me as I did not get any replies. I have decided to get Paradigm Monitor 11s, v.5 edition. I will also get the new center speaker that they have announced. A little response may have stopped my research and I would be getting Polks.

Hey Frank this is the first time I've seen this post. Only you can know what kind of speakers will suit you. How do you like to listen to your music & movies? Polk makes great speakers & the best way to tell which series of Polk suits you is to audition them with music that you know very well.
Good luck with your Paradigm speakers.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
Welcome to the forum! Our intent is not to stop your research, but to help you make the right decisions for your ears and budget. Although many of our recommendations will be Polk Audio products, you'll find the members here own a wide variety of audio related product brands. I myself own Paradigm Studio Reference 20v3's. The Paradigm's are good speakers, liked by many. Are they better than Polks? That's a question best left to your ears and tastes in sound. Stick around and let us know how your new HT works out.DKG999

Personally I don't shop for speakers based on replies on message boards, usually things like sound quality and looks are important, and we don't work for polk, were not here to convince you that polks are the best.
