Good snipes are done with less than 20 seconds left in the auction. Even better snipes are done with less than 10 seconds left which gives the early bidders little or no time to outbid you. Give a brief description if you want.

I recently snagged a Made in Mexico Deluxe Player's Stratocaster for $213 with about 5 seconds left. The seller was a pawnshop and had it mis-described but I'm sure most of the bidders knew what it was and tried to lowball him. I threw in a $250 bid at the last second and won it for the $213. It's probably worth close to $375-$400.:D2 channel - Willsenton R8 tube integrated, Holo Audio Spring 3 KTE DAC, audio optimized NUC7i5, Windows 10 Pro/JRiver MC29/Fidelizer Plus 8.7 w/LPS and external SSD drive, PS Audio PerfectWave P3 regenerator, KEF R3 speakers, Rythmik F12SE subwoofer, Audioquest Diamond USB cable, Gabriel Gold IC's, Morrow Audio SP5 speaker cables. It looks smashing (no pun intended) -
I picked up pair of rt/fx's for 82 bucks about a month and a half ago. When I got them my wife asked if they were really used speakers. Not the greatest deal, but I was happy.
I use auctionstealer.comMy equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself. -
I love sniping.
Someone thinks they're going to get a pair of telefunkens for $9.99. I swoop in with 4 seconds left and get them for $11.50

I remember my very first auction. A pair of RTi6's. I had no idea how Ebay bidding worked so I was putting in bids every time I was outbid as opposed to putting in a single max bid. I followed it for a whole day and when I refreshed at 20 seconds I was the highest bidder so I figured I had it in the bag. When I refreshed again there were like 10 bids that came in on top of each other and the price doubled! Id never heard of snipers and after wasting a day on that auction.....needless to say I was upset. Swore off Ebay for a couple years til Polk opened up their Ebay store.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I didn't even imply that I didn't believe you, Carl.
I just asked that you post the link so we could all enjoy your great get.
Since you bumped a really old thread with your latest snipe, how far back would I have to search? -

REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
I don't care about sniping. In fact, most of the guys buying EBAY crap
pay waaaay too much. I put in a reasonable bid, and 99% of the time
a bunch of last minute Larrys go nuts. It's saved me from owning a bunch
of stuff I don't really need. And it doesn't bother me, since it went for
too high of a price. I've got too much stuff already. Time for a FM

see how easy that was -
Well, not mega crazy super, but my RTi10s were $170, with a few seconds left.

Denon AVR-4800. Snipe got it for $212. And this was back in 2003 when these things were still hot. I was so proud.

Carver a500x for $200 shipped 6 years ago. At the time they'd been selling for $500 or so.There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction.
