I'd love to slap the winning bidder upside the head. Must be nice to have that kind of scratch. Problem is, once you get past the nostalgia factor, most of the games just suck (there are exceptions, of course).

I swear I'm going to think of a game that's not on that list....

Wasn't there some crap game called Bible Adventures?
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

There were quite a few unlicensed games, the seller also has this auction for a group of 66 unlicensed games (including "Bible Buffet"?).

that link is blocked for "Provocative Attire"

Every time I hit that corporate firewall I wonder if my login is getting counted and flagged for "naughty" behaviour and someday out of the blue I'm just gonna get fired

... and it has Bible Adventures. How 'bout that?
I didn't know Gauntlet was unlicensed. I thought everything was on the "up and up" with that one. I don't remember meeting anyone in a back alley to procure a copy.

It's a list of the twenty worst games of all time. You're probably getting blocked because one of those games is the Sega CD pile Night Trap with Dana Plato.

Your company is just looking out for you.

It comes with the revised "Punch-Out!" where they removed Mike Tyson. I wonder how many weeks I spent perfecting my strategy against the orignal Tyson. I could take him out by KO, TKO, and by decision.

Why don't I have that kind of patience for video games anymore??? I miss those care free days. :(

I remember I actually missed the school bus because it pulled up outside as I was heading into the third round with close to the 5000(?) points needed to score a TKO... my mom nearly killed me.

I wasn't going to let that chance at immortality (at least at school) pass me by:D

Hey I still have that game, the unedited version for Sega CD and 32X. Was pretty cool to have a banned game at the time, but it is no GOW

That guy is actually a f00kin genius. He went and bought all of these games on the cheap off of eBay to get the mystique of the full collection. Look at his past auctions. They're all for NES games....

If he gets 200,000+ I'll be more than impressed. It sure as hell isn't worth it.

It's back to $20,000. That's still way more than it would be worth if you did what he did to get them all.

Did you guys read the added section at the bottom of the add? I guess 22 people ran the auction up because they didn't want him to sell all of them at once. The sorry part is someone will pay 25K for a bunch of 80's video games.

In a sort of geeky way - it's amazing to see that photo of all the games. I'd never pay even a small fraction of the amount being bid ($20,000 right now) - but it's fun in a weird sort of way.

I still have my Sega Genesis and a handful of games - but I haven't dug it out in a decade.

I bought a collection of Atari games for xbox - and a few are still fun, and a few are fun to play just for purely nostalgia reasons, but the majority are simply early 80's era games. The xbox controller is also too complicated for the games - some were easier on pc with Stella. I skipped an Intellivision collection purely due to the controller issues (also more of a nostalgia thing than really expecting the games to be great).

Whoops - went off on a tangent... ;)

We had an extremely spoiled kid in our neighborhood who's parents made it a point to buy him every single game which was released. Granted, I only saw his collection after the NES had been out a year and a half. But at the time, it was sick. There were so many that he had never even opened up...

Me? I rocked on with Castlevania, Rygar, Kid Icarus, Metroid, and Goonies...

I remember selling my Darryl Stawberry rookie card to a classmate just to borrow Castlevania II for a week. How dorky is that?
