Subwoofer Placement, Floor Layout Provided

I have a question on Subwoofer Placement.

I have just placed an order for a SVS Subwoofer and in my room i have 3 corners that i can place my subwoofer.
Corner 1 is 3ft from my Receiver(front R corner)
Corner 2 is 12ft from my receiver(front L Corner)
Corner 3 is 45ft from my receiver(the way it has to go around the edge of the room) (Back L corner)

The main couch is more than half way 40% off the back wall and 60% of the distance from the front wall.

Also the front wall, in compromised of a Sliding glass door.

Should i invest in a 50ft cable just in case to the best placement for my subwoofer is that corner?

Also in August i will be moving to a new place, which the dimensions are unknown to me at this time.

I am planning on purchasing my cable from Blue Jean cable.

TIA for your opinions.

Get the 50ft cable. You are better off having more than little and it is not a long enough run to notice any sound lag. Corner 2 would be your best bet, but you should try placing your sub inas many different positions until you find what sounds best for you.

My room is very similar to yours. I have my sub in the Front right corner, #1 in your drawing. It's works very well here and you can't identify it as the source of sound.

another vote for locaiton 2. A little more removed from your electronics (more the bass causing an issue with electronics failure over time rather than the other way around), and it looks to be on an outside wall so the bass won't be quite as pounding on someones bedroom....

I would try both 1 and 2 though. If the bass becomes to boomy, you might even want to try the sub as a coffee table between your couch and love seat. (assuming it is a box sub of course)

Just received my shipment for the subwoofer, will post pictures of the new layout.

I put it into corner #2 and it soudns fantastic.

I ordered the SVS PB12 Plus/2, pictures are going up within the hour.

I took a half day to receive the subwoofer and to set it up.

Check out my Show Case.. will be adding more pictures to it once i get it up fully.

Also because of the size of the stands for my speakers(mini end tables) i had to re-arrange my room. so looking at the diagram the tv is in the botton left wall now instead of the bottom wall.
