Back in 1980 I recorded the John Prine "Soundstage" concert from tv. It was the first I'd heard of him even though he grew up 5 minutes from me.
It turned out to be the most memmorable recording I ever made. Clever, insightful lyrics and catchy tunes I played that cassette so many times it broke in a 1/2 dozen places before I finally lost it.
I called WTTW during one of their fundraisers maybe 10 years ago (public tv-ch.11/Chicago) and asked if they would send me a copy of the program. I offered them $100 for the tape but they said they couldn't do it but to "check back at a later time".
Now years later I see the DVD offered on Amazon 2 weeks ago with a Jan. 30 release so I ordered it along with Pink Floyds' "Pulse". I checked today and saw "Not available at this time ..keep checking back". A JP site shows that DVD to be available on March 27 now .
One of the best singer/songwriters ever I urge you to check out his songs and recommend this DVD wholeheartedly, whenever it comes out.

I remember when 'broadband' meant The Go-Go's.
