I have for sale,a very nice pair of SDA 1C's...
I bought these from CP member george daniel this past summer, with the thoughts of putting together a second 2-channel set-up.
Unfortunately, the funds for this project are just not there...they have been sitting for over 6 months now.
They need a new home where someone will enjoy them to their fullest.
The crossovers have been upgraded using Solen pb series capacitors,Mills resistors, new polyswitches...speaker binding posts have been replaced with Cardas CCgr Gold Plated Posts.
The SDA cable connection has been replaced with a speaker connector...eliminates the need for the pin/blade connection...a single run of speaker wire can replace the SDA cable...these upgrades were done by george...
I would rate the overall appearance as an 8/10 with the only flaw being a small ding on one of the bottom caps,on the back corner...hardly noticeable.
The grills and all the side panels are near perfect without ANY snags, tears or pulls...the top caps are perfect, with no blems at all.
The performance is amazing to say the least,if you have been around here very long, then you know where the 1C's stand, and how they are revered by many.
I am located 1-1/2 hours from downtown Kansas City...approx. 2 hours from the Columbia/Jeff City area, and about 4 hours from St.Louis.
You can come to our home and audition if you like, bring your own material, bring your own gear if you want,as long as you have a common ground amp.
$600.00 for CP members,I would like to see these stay in the family if possible...you can send a pm if interested or reach me at mreeter@greenhills.net
Thanks,Mike

I hope I don't end up saying the same thing one day also George...I hate to part with them, but they are not getting the attention they deserve. -
Sweet. Congrats to the mid-west member who gets these. These come up there probably about as often as they come up in Houston. I've been waiting the longest to buy or audition a pair here.

Well,I'm not in the neighborhood...I'm about 1-1/2 hours N.E. of Johnson Co.
But,you can still drop by some time...doors always open...cold beer always in the fridge. -
We are going to have to do a KC Polkfest sometime for sure.

Absolutely. My house is always open for a party... Got about 2000 ft2, and this summer, I'll be finishing off the basement, moving the HT room downstairs, and adding about 1000 ft2 extra living space too. Nothing fancy by any stretch, but plenty of space for a party. Very central location (I-35 / Shawnee Mission Parkway) and if you bring the beer, it's all you can drinkHonoured to be, an original SOPA founding member
