What a fantastic visit I had today at Joe's (hearimgimpaired) house this afternoon. Let me first say what a sweetheart of a house Joe & Phyllisann have. They are so proud of his new home & rightly so. The only downside I could see is that Phyllisann is spending all of Joe's "tweaking " money decorating the place. Curtains, furniture, cushions, rugs, more curtains, oh my, say good-bye to tweaks for a awhile Joe. Now about those SDA's. Holy ****!! they are hugh with a capital H. But their incredible sound surpasses even there size. The soundstage on some tracks seemed to carry right thru the walls & into the next room. The sheer dynamics, the super tight & powerfull bass that kicked you right in your gut was an awesome musical experience. The crystal clear placement of instruments was uncanny at times. Matt Polk out did himself with those bad boys. I also brought my el-cheapo SONY SACD player with me for Joe to give a listen. Joe was extremely impressed on how well it sounded. Now once Joe gets his TT up & running he wants to see how well SACD stacks up to his beloved vinyl. That will be a very interesting return trip. Joe & Phyllisann are terrific hosts & know how to make a fellow feel right at home. Oh, & by the way those wings were superb. And don't forget to bone out that pork roast so Phyllisann can season it up & get it in the oven for your family dinner tomorrow. OOPS!!! To avoid any confusion, Joe's awesome speakers are 1.2TLs, not 1.3TLs as mentioned in the heading. My bad Joe!!!

Sorry about that Joe, it's late, I'm tired & the beers are kicking in. Correction noted. Those bad boys were 1.2 TLs, not 1.3 TLs. Awesome, awesome speakers. You have to admit those numbers do get confusing.
