sub ex12 polk series 2

I have a 12 inch ex series 2 subwoofer I noticed it sounded a bit funny. So I took it out of its box and realized that the positive wire that comes from the cone to a connection place where you hook up the speaker to the box connection. It seems to me that it should be easy to fix. Can I just sauder the wire back on?:confused:
