If you can run both amps off the same circuit without the surge protector, you can run them with it. The only problem I see is at start up. I have a B&K 7 x 200 wpc amp and it would trip the circuit and blow the fuse at start up. I now run it though a surge protector which puts it in stand-by mode and it never trips the circuit. Once the caps are charged, you won't be pulling anywhere near 20 amps (or 40 amps in your case) . When I crank my SDA's and the other 5 speakersto referance level, I am only drawing about 4 amps. Do your amps have triggers and do they go into stand-by?

I had no idea Adcom made amps with 20 amp plugs on them. Must be a beast of an amp. Does your Panamax have a display to show amp draw? I would love to know how many amps are beig pulled at moderate levels. You probably should call Adcom and see if it is ok to run both off one 20 amp circuit. Be careful, you might blow your walls out!

I run my Emotiva MPS-1 amp(300w/x7ch) and a Velodyne 1000w sub off a Panamax 4400 20amp power center with no problems. The Panamax power cord requires a 20 amp recepticle, which has the neutral prong (left side looking @ the wall) in a horizontal position instead of the normal vertical prong.
