I was in Sacramento's Fry's Electronics yesterday...
saw a mountain of PSW350's unopened going gor $199.

That was my cue... and I almost bought two...!

Does anyone out there have two of these in their setup...?
Is that wasteful or warranted?

Opinions?

I had 2 PSW350's for about a year and I really liked them. They sound great stacked and really crank out some decent SPL and sound tight and musical. $200 each is a GREAT price.

However, after hearing a few deep extension subs, I was quite surprised at what the PSW350 doesn't play in the lowest octave on a few popular DVDs. This model has virtually no useable output below 30 Hz. So I sold mine on Ebay and ordered a powerful bottom feeder cylinder sub.

If you can live without the really deep bass, two stacked PSW350s are really nice in a mid sized HT room. I recommend stacking because it will add about 6dB more SPL, as opposed to placing them apart, which will yield maybe a 3dB increase.

Yet another sweet setup Scott. Gil Hibben would be proud.
I didn't know they made two Blade swords. What other hand held weapons do ya have?
I bet you've got something by H.R. Giger hanging up in your place.

Thanks - Liquidsound! I collect Hibbens and Kit Rae mostly. The swords are also made by United Cutlery. They are a limited collection called the Samurai 3000. They have sort of Jedi light Saber handles (really cool). Also movie certified cutlery too. I have some Giger limited prints and the Necronomicon Books/among others.

    Nice blades.....

I got one thing for ya though....

Remember the scene in Indiana Jones, where Indy is looking for Frauline Ravenwood, and he comes face to face with a dude dressed in all black, wielding a samurai sword?

    Remember what happened next?

    Cheers,

Only kiddin' - nice collection, Scott.

Here is the real deal I use for clearing brush and small trees when scouting for deer season and cutting bow shooting lanes.

It is a Cold Steel Kukri, with a high carbon steel blade. It holds a keen edge (much better than stainless), and I can shave my arm hair with it.

The mass of the blade is concentrated at the front for incredible and effortless choppng power - this Kukri can easily remove an appendage or decapitate someone.

Ruger is shown for size reference only (yeah right).

Cold Steel makes some killer knives. The spine of that Kukri is almost a 1/4 inch thick isn't it?

Yep, it's around 3/16" thick. This is a special model Kukri that Cold Steel offered me by mail that is not even listed on their website. It is longer and heavier than anything shown there.

I have cut through 2" saplings in one swipe at a 45 degree downward angle. Contrary to popular belief, this is not a machete - the steel grade and weight on the Kukri is much higher than a machete. Even though it is heavier, it is still easy to swing due to the mass being located at the end of the blade.

Although Cold Steel DOES make some very nice machetes at very reasonable prices (about $15), whereas the typical Gurkha style Kukri runs over $150.

Check all them out at www.coldsteel.com!
