You should see the view to the right.....

The range you are seeing is the Huachuca mountains..Huachuca means "Thunder" a name the indians gave them because of the green & purple lightning we get in that range due to type of rock/minerals in the mountain.

If you ever happen to snap a pic of some green/purple lightning, I would love to see it.. Im kinda a thunderstorm freak.. (been in 5 tornadoes) I have seen several red and blueish lightnings, but never green or purple..

There's definitely an awe factor in watching thunderstorms rolling in from the west.

Wait a sec, Steve - does your critter farm at work follow you home?

A Sierra Vista dude huh? I'd like to convince my wife to move that way.

Nice size pool. Nice job on the details too.

We have a 14x32 play pool (deeper in the middle) and even though it's good for laps and killer for pool parties. it's a bit big the rest of the time. I've talked about having it cut down, but my wife threatens to cut something else down if I do.

And even though there's snow now, pool season here in Tucson usually starts in April. In fact, I bet my daughter is in ours sometime in March.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I've tried to get pics and even do an mpeg with my camera, but it's hard as hell. My mpeg came out so dark, it was useless.

    You get used to it.

I'm the neighborhood snake catcher, anything that isn't venomous. If I don't the neighbors will just kill them. The only things I kill on sight (around the house or work) are Brown Recluses, Black Widows, and Scorps.

I've been bit twice by what I assume were brown recluses. they both left a 1/2" hole in my hand that took months to heal all the way.

Brown Recluses are becoming a major unwanted problem in the mid-west as well.. The number of cases in the mid-west have sky-rocketed in the past few years.. If you look up the spider itself online, knowing if you were actually bitten by a Brown Recluse is possible.. If I am not mistaken, they leave an almost "target" looking wound.. Definate circles outside of circles.. A very deadly spider for sure.. There's no way I would have went untreated with a suspicion of a Brown Recluse bite..

Snow in Southern Arizona is just not right. At least it not in the mountains. Beautiful pool and yard Steve! Are you a wet or dry barbecue man?

The whole insect and snake thing is freakin Darla out. There are many more things on the streets of Miami that I fear. What's a few critters;)
