Caught on Vid by Japan. They seem to be really digging up a lot of deep sea life lately. Quite interesting.

I'll bet that since it died they'll make some sort of sushi dish out of it.

All sharks are "living fossils". They are, if memory serves, elasmobranchs; cartilaginous fishes. Their 'scales' are more akin to our teeth than "normal" fish scales.

I guess the shark mentioned above is sometimes brought up dead in trawling nets, but only very rarely alive.

    Pretty funky fish.

That's something so ugly I wouldn't ever consider eating it.......not that my food typically has an aesthetic requirement, but now that I saw that pic, I think it now does.

    That is beyond bizarre...
It not only looks alien. Its movements are alien.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I don't own a gun (I've owned several) and I don't want a gun. Once you've been on the other end of that barrel...it just doesn't hold the same fascination.

I guess it depends on the person than... some, when faced with the above mentioned situation will want to carry all the more, so that if it ever happens again, they are prepared!

If you are talking about guns as a hobby, heck no. Guns have one purpose to me, to defend at all costs!
