This is for a friend who built a custom GR Research 12" w/12" PR sub that hits very hard and down below 20hz. It's a pretty large sub, my friend tells me it's very comparable to his Tempest 15" sonosub (also seen in the pictures linked)...powered by a 350w Rhythmic plate amp. I haven't heard the unit yet, but I've heard the Tempest and it's on par with an SVS Ultra.

He's asking $350.00 which probably covers the parts, so it's a great deal. Sorry local pickup only. So come on you Bay Area guys...

what's the dimension of the sub? I've never had a custom sub b4, this should be interesting.

Also, would it be possible to get a different color finish?

I'll ask my friend what the dimensions are, but it looks to me by the scale of the 51" sono beside it that it's probably about the size of a PB12NSD. It's not compact.

The finish, which I think he did a great job on, is not optional. I'm trying to get a listen to this guy this week.

I'll pass on the dims later tonight.

I listened to this sub tonight. It's exceptionally well built with a beautiful finish. I'm guessing it's flat to 18hz and very tight. Listened to PFs "Pulse", some Enigma, Diana Krall and the the Blu Ray version of "Kingdom of Heaven". It's probably as much or more than my sub, but I just don't need it. I'm only offering it up here, because I know this guy and it's a truly great piece for the price.

My last bump...I'll just put you in touch.
