I know nothing, but am trying to learn. What is the story (if there is one) on a Van Alstine Model One Preamp?

Quality, specs, used value? Any help?

    Actually, I had AC open in another window, and did a quick search for you...not a whole lot of information, but there was this (Posted by Frank):

    "I have no service info on this unit. I was only with VA Systems for a short time. After realizing that I had been included for the use of my name only and was outvoted on all policy issues, I sold my stock back and left the company. I was supposed to get all current production models and service info on all models. This never happened."

    Value? Hard to say...its roughly 25 years old, so condition would factor heavily. $200? I think there was one on eBay fairly recently, I'd start looking there.
