I just replaced my SL 3000 tweeters on my SRS 1.2 TLs with the RD 0198s. The SL 3000 are in mint condition. I believe Polk no longer makes them. The original owner of the 1.2 TLs claimed under 50 hrs of use so these babys have under 75 total hours of use. They sound great and the only reason I upgraded is, well, because, I got the upgrade bug.

SOLD POLK65. I need to find out how you want them shipped before I can give you a shipping price.

I've placed each SL 3000 in their own separate box as you can see in the pictures below. I will ship to anywhere in the lower 48.

I don't know if I want to sell them in lesser quantities. I'll cross that bridge when I get to it if I have to.

I will take a check or postal money order. Upon either clearing, I will ship them out pronto.

AN EXTRA 10 POINTS AND A SLOPPY KISS IF YOU CAN GUESS WHO'S HAND IS IN THE FIRST PICTURE!!!

That reminds me of something ole Uncle Charlie told me one night when we were listening to music, with a couple other old timers.

Each of the old timers brought some sort of esoteric muffins, cookies etc. I said - Chas, you guys sure like your sweets, don't you?

He said "Son, young men chase pasties, old men chase pastries."

    Cheers,
    Russ
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

He's like V for Vendetta. . . he pops up, disappears, calls, leaves a message then disappears again.

I'm dizzy trying to follow him!

Joe, have you posted your thoughts on the RDOs compared to the SL3000s?

I'm just curious--I've got the 3000s in my RTA11TL and also have a pair of the RDOs ready to install, whenever I get a moment--I actually had the RDOs in my Monitor 5jr+ before I even picked up the 11TLs. I'm attempting to get a fix on how these sound "stock" before I put in the new tweets in, but I'd be interested in your impressions.

(On a side note, is it a bad sign for me if I'm asking a guy named "hearingimpaired" for his listening impressions? :D)

    Thanks,

    Jay

Joe isn't deaf, he's just blind. It's ok to ask him for listening impressions.

There isn't much to compare. THe SL 3000 sounded bright and harsh at times with certain material. The RD0198s sound much more natural and accurate.

Sal, I bought these as spares and they are in storage. This is the color I remember my original 2.3tl's with. I'll take a photo when possible.

Not to butt in, but I too would love a matching pair for my 15TL's, that is, only if you were willing to sell some. and I certainly wouldn't want to step on any toes, Sal.

    Thanks
