spikes v domes

I got my LSi 9's, and all I can say is wow...they sounds great. But I have a question. My speaker stands came with spikes and domes to use as the feet. I only have a stereo setup with the stands and they are on a wooden floor, and I wasn't sure if there was a difference between the two in terms sound?
