opinion on 2 used amps

I was at a local repair shop and they had a few used amps.Among them were 1 adcom GFA 5400 and 1 B&K (the box said model 5t140 but the web site only shows st140). 440.00 for the Adcom & 550.00 for the B&K. I'm looking for an amp to run a set of Lsi15's. These are not what I was looking for but they are both in great shape and the price seems great. Any info would be a big help.

    Way overpriced on both. B&K should be down more like $200 and the adcom $250-300.

    It's an ST-140 and the seller must have just started smoking crack.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Thanks for the info. looks like It's back the search. thought it sounded like a deal. If I didn't check here first I would have got ripped off. Aside for being over priced, are they good amps?

    Holy Hell Batman.. I can only speak for the Adcom GFA 5400, but that is way over priced. Tell him to go insert his tinky dinky into a light socket. :D

    Yes the Adcom is a good amp.. there are those folks who like em.. and those who don't.. but that can be said for ANY amp too. One is running my SRS"s as I type.

    Guys....it's a repair shop......you know the guy wants to get his money back from some chump who dropped it off and won't pay for the repairs.Non the less,still way over priced.As the others have said,you can do better on the "gon.
