voted to the all-star team this year?? Granted, the man is still one of the most dominating forces in the NBA; however, he has played very little this year.. With the insurgance of some very capable youngsters to the league, should they be left out for a fading legend?? Thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's view on this..

You mean to tell me that you have no idea who SHAQ is?? I just dont believe that.. There is no possible way you've never heard of him, unless of course you never watch TV.

I don't really care about basketball, but c'mon. The guy has played like 10 games this year. How can he possibly be on the All-Star team? And if he's so hurt that he can't help his team for several MONTHS, how on Earth can he play in the All-Star game?!

All Star voting is ALWAYS just a popularity contest, in every sport, and if Shaq gets in it will really drive that point home.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I think Shaq was that guy that played a Genie in the movie called Kazam.

I could be wrong, but I think Wade Boggs has lead the All Star voting for third basemen ever since he retired.

Yes, its a stupid popularity contest. The real honor is in the coaches' selections.

You cant forget Shaq's rap career.

    Or the movie STEEL.

Or Shaq-Fu, one of the greatest Sega Genesis games ever created.

Guy kind of fell off in the entertainment world after the mid nineties though.

BTW...does the NBA still exist? I figured a league full of prima dona gangsta wannabees who don't even have enough tallent to beat a bunch of rag tag players from Greece (you know...that team from world basketball powerhouse Greece) would be shut down. I thought maybe they had either smoked themselves out of existance or "**** slapped" each other to death. (Carmelo Anthony of course would be the last man standing).

What a joke of a professional sport.....

Shaq hasn't dominated for a couple years. Old, pudgy, and always hurt. W/out DWade they wouldn't have won last year. Oh, he also only gets interested when the playoffs come around. Do you think MJ would ever say or think that?
