Hi Guys,
I am looking to consilidate my center and surround amps into one for more rack space. I currently use an Outlaw M200 to power my center and an Adcom 535 for surrounds. This Rotel is rated 60 x 6 and can be bridged to 150 x 3 which is what I plan to do. Does anyone have one or have used this amp before?

What are your thoughts? Thanks
Venom

I used it and liked it. had to get rid of it when i went all LSi in my theater (4 ohm). remember, gotta have 8 ohms speakers for bridging to be done safely.

I would say the rotel in bridged mode will outperform the adcom, but you might notice a slight drop in oomph for that center compared to the Outlaw. If rack space is a premium though, its worth a shot. i will say that the 976 is highly regarded, very well made (beefy, and heavy, torroid power supply).

it served me faithfully from the day I bought it as a floormodel, and for about 3 years or so after. never gave me a problem, nothing but trouble free operation and pretty damn good sound. I'd still have it if it wasnt for the 4 ohm issue (especially the notorious hard load the LSi's are). running the 976 bridged to the LSi's would not be an option unless I enjoyed frying amps for entertainment value.

    HI Ski,
Thanks for the info I appreciate it. Sounds like a decent amp. I use only 8 ohm speakers so this just might fit the bill. If you see and Outlaw and and Adcom in the For Sale listings, you know I made a move. Thanks again.
