crossover settings for m50 speakers?

hi all , heres my sett up.polk m50 front and surrounds m30 backsurrounds and cs1 center psw-10 sub.denon 987 avr and denon 757 dvd...my question is do you folks think i should run my fronts and surrounds in full range mode or cross them over through the denon avr ? where do you think i should crossover the sub at 60 -70 or 80 hrtz..would anything bad happen to them if i ran them full range..would i be missing anything crossing them over at say 60 or 70 hrtz...thanks for any help:)

    Start at 60, play with it from there. Just keep the low LFE out of them.

    russ quick question ?on the specs for my speakers they list some ratings at -3 db e.g 57htz at -3 db...what does that mean..thanks again

    It means, 3db down at 57Hz. The beginning of the end for the low end response, if that makes sense.

    A lot of people go as far as 6 or 10db down for useable response, the 3db rating is 'right there', and for the most part could be considered flat response. You'll get 57 cycles out of them. Being a ported design, I wouldn't expect much other than a waterfall after that. You get a much smoother roll off with (properly designed) acoustic suspension (sealed) boxes - but that's an entirely new topic.

    ok thanks russ,so i guess 60 hrtz for front and surronds and 80 hrtz for center and back surronds and set the sub to 80 or 85 hrtz.thanks again
