The 535 is a little sledgehammer, I have yet to hear it not take control of any speaker it was powering.

Damn if I had a use for it...........perhaps if it's still here next week I won't be able to resist.

    Sledgehammer is an appropriate description.

Is this the original version or the MKII with the better speaker posts?

You will LOVE this amp on your monitor 5s. I used this amp to run my monitor 5s in my office setup. I think they make a perfect combo!

Yea, im currently using a 545II for my Monitor 10s up front, this would be a perfect addition to the Monitor 5's up front as well. Like I said though, waiting on that first paycheck still.....there was an error 2 weeks ago and my first check never got processed. Therefore, this check will be for 4 weeks worth of work so should leave me a little spending money. :D

I'm interested. Just want to make sure this will drive LSi 7's and either improve my sound or at the very least take a little stress off of my H/K7300.

    Thanks

The 535 will have NO problem driving the LSi7's, I can tell you that from personal experience.

The LSi's have a very undeserved reputation for being power hungry. They do require quality power. My main rig has an Onix SP3 at 38wpc and it drives them just fine as well.

I wouldn't say that it was undeserved Mark. My brother ran his LSI7's off of a 50wpc Rotel amp. You could fry an egg off the top of it by the time you turned it off. It did sound very good.

He now runs them off of a 200wpc Parasound & his exacts words were:

"There is MORE of everything now!"

Will the 535 run the 7's? Of course it will. Just make sure you give the amp plenty of air clearence.

I love these little amps and they do a fantastic job powering the HT rig.

Great snag, Ron! I'm the same way with my little Carver TFM-6CBs. They can throw 200wpc bridged into 8 ohm loads, can run two sets of speakers, are very slim, run cool.

If I see any pop up on ebay or here on the cheap, I'd be all over another one! I wouldn't mind having five to run the HT in mono/bridge and exchange the HK 635 for a pre/pro.
