Reciever on the mend

Its been a month since I sent my NAD reciever down to Seattle to be repaired. As some of you may know, I found out that someone had poured coke into the unit at some point (not me!) and that some of the soldering was not done properly (obviously not me!). It needed a new front board and initial repairs were going to run me $900! I talked to NAD and they agreed to send the repair shop a new board at no charge. Well, it took 3 weeks for the shop to get it, but it has now been delivered and it is being fixed. But now, I'm going on vacation for a month and will not be able to enjoy it until I return. Total cost to me including shipping will be $325. Not chump change but certainly better than the intital estimate. I'm glad NAD stepped up to the plate and I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service, though the speed of shipping could be faster. By the time I get back it will have been 2 months since I have gotten to listen to music through my beloved LSi25's. How I do miss it, but it should be quite an experience to hear them sing again after such a long break. I can't wait.

WTF, someone poured a COKE into your NAD? That person should be hunted down and beaten.
I don't allow food or drinks near my equipment on pain of smiting. I'm glad to see NAD step up to the plate, it's certainly one of the advantages of dealing with a good manufacturer: great customer service.Lovin that music year after year.
