Question about the 360

I just got one Saturday. Won in a sales contest at my office. The question or more accurately my concern, why is the 360 so loud? It's fine when a disc is not loaded, but once I start playing a game it has a constant high pitched hiss or whine. Is this normal or do I have a bad unit?

and the disc drive itself is pretty dang loud as well.

That's what I was going to say. It's loud, but I can't hear it at all when I'm playing a game or watching an HD-DVD.

yes it's loud, but the great thing is every game is DD5.1...

so crank it up..
