Confused about Odyssey Mono Extremes

As some of you know I am searching for a few amplifiers to power my speakers. I ran across an auction for Odyssey Mono Extremes and am very confused at why these amps are $2500+ for a pair. Their website says they are only 150w rms... Why would you choose this when the Outlaw 2200m is $325 and 200w RMS? Sorry if this is a trivial question

    Watts don't mean a damn thing. Base all of your audio buying decisions on how a component sounds, not its specs.

    some amps are more expensive even though they are less powerful.it depends on several things, better build quality, manufacture name, type of amp. a good 35 wpc or 50wpc tube amp can run into many thousands of dollars depending on who made it and the parts involved for example. take a quick look on ebay and you will see names like krell. mark levinson. sell less powerful amps for far more than other higher powered ones.     Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D
