KNUKONCEPTZ KABLES

So I recently ordered quite a few cables from Knukonceptz in order to upgrade and replace some out of date and shotty cables. My order list was as follows:

$07.99 - eKs HDMI Female to DVI Male Adapter
$44.99 - eKs HDMI Cable 2 Meter
$39.99 - eKs Silver Plated Komponent Video 2M
$39.99 - eKs Silver Plated Digital Coaxial Cable 2M
$07.99 - eKs BFA Banana Plugs(4)
$11.50 - Karma 10AWG Speaker Kable (10 Feet)

Let me start of by saying shipping took 3 days from the day I ordered the products to the day I received them. They were well packaged, strong cardboard box, newspaper, bubble wrap, and individual boxes(see pics).

Lets start from the top. My Comcast Motorola STB only has DVI out(since I don’t have DVR, I don’t get HDMI out) so therefore I ordered KKs HDMI Female to DVI Male Adapter. Solid product with gold plated connections. The HDMI cable(see pics) was also gold plated. The ends were built solid and the cable construction was thick and strong. When I first plugged these into my TV/STB (Samsung) I was having a picture flash then white snow. I went to my other HDTV and tried them (Sony), they worked perfectly. The picture quality over the cheapo component cables that my parents use was definitely noticeable. I kept switching back between the two and could clearly see everything was a little more defined and overall gave a better picture on the big scale. I called Samsung regarding my issue only to find out that my brand new(less than 2 weeks old) tv needs a firmware to be able to use the Comcast DVI out into my Samsung HDMI in. That will be taken care of this week and I will update this post later.

Next came the Komponent Video cable and the Digital Coaxial Cable that I ordered in order to replace the analog RCA video and sound from my DVD player to my receiver. This cable was currently one of the cheapies from Walmart (couple bucks at most). I decided after talking with bobman to run a component cable from my DVD player to my tv and a digital coax from my DVD player to my receiver. The difference in sound quality was absolutely amazing. I never realized the quality of sound that I was missing from my DVD’s by using the analog cables I had. It makes me want to go back and watch all those hundreds of DVD’s all over again. The video cable was the exact same way. An absolute drastic change in quality over the analog. Also, the component cables from KK have LOCKING RCAs. Once these are clamped onto those terminals there is absolutely no way of removing them without unscrewing them. The connection is extremely solid and far tighter than any Monster Cables I have ever used.

Last two products, the banana plugs and speaker cable, I will be assembling tomorrow in order to replace my center channel speaker wire and I will update the review later.

To those of you that are skeptical about trying KnuKonceptz for cables, I highly suggest you give them a try at the least. If you don’t like them, return them for a refund. They carry excellent warranty and the customer service(I dealt with Bill) is great. Overall, everything was worth every penny I paid for it.

Thanks for reading,

Mark
