Polk RT800 vs. Kef Q70
I know this is very similar to another tread right now, but I didn't want to rain on his parade...
I have a pair of RT800's that I have had for a while and enjoy. I know there is better but they are pretty good speakers. (I use them a lot for 2 channel, and sometimes for HT) I do however have the opportunity to get a pair of KEF Q70s at a great price. Now I've heard that some people like these speakers, and my Dad still has an older pair of KEF bookshelves that he won't get rid of, but I was wondering what the opinion on these speakers is. I read a review that the imaging was really good on them but that's all I have heard. A little help please before I open my wallet!

I found the kef 'Q' series a little too bright for me. I've had the bookshelf version and the Q10c. The old polk RT55i sounded superior to the bookshelfs
The Tannoy SensysDC series are a much better choice if you're going with 'dual concentrics', Kef calls them differently but essentially similar technology.Gear: Rotel RC 1082, Rotel RSP 1068 pre/pro, Rotel RMB1077 amp, Cayin CDT 15a CD player, S301 bluray.
Speakers: Tannoy DC sensys speakers, Paradigm Servo15 Sub, Velo Spl-1500r
Conditioner: Isotek -
Tubes are a must on the KEF, too hot on the top end, but VERY detailed.
