Imagine them trying them to explain it to the first person....
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I was shocked as hell to see exactly how far back they pulled her, but based on that amount of distance from the support poles, her trajectory wouldn't get more vertical on takeoff and spring back until her momentum decreased fairly significantly

They have them at a lot of amusement parks but not horizontal ones. The ones at the parks give you no chance of hitting the ground, short of the cables breaking. It does looks like a ton of fun but I'd be worred about a bad release and it throwing you straight up or a little too horizontal to the point where you'd hit the ground.

Yeah...but he would have slingshotted himself right into the face of a cliff or a tree.

...or just as he got all the way back... both poles would come out of the ground and coldcock him simultaneously before landing on top of him and pounding him into the ground.

Now THAT would have been cool to watch!
