I need some GT3 advice.
I just got back into it a few days ago, so I've been going through the Biginner League. So far I've won the Sunday Cup and Clubman Cup, and the first race in the FF Challenge. And now we get to my dilemma.
Forever ago when I started out with the career mode, I bought a PT Cruiser. Here are my mods so far:
-Sports Suspension
-Semi-Racing Muffler & Air Cleaner
-Racing Chip
-Twin Plate Clutch
-Semi-Racing Flywheel
-Sports Tires
-Stage 1 Lightweight
IMHO it's been serving me pretty well, but there the last few races I've begun to think I might should be driving a different car. A PT Cruiser just seems wholly unsuited to racing. When I won the Sunday Cup series and got w/e car it was I got, I sold it to buy more stuff for the PT Cruiser. Then while I was practicing the Deep Forest Raceway for the Clubman Cup (got it down to 1:36.1xx!), the thought struck me that maybe I should just start all over with a Miata, seeing as how I'm really not that far into the game yet. Then, when I won the Clubman Cup...it gave me a miata! So, now here's my dilemma.
Should I sell my PT Cruiser for 4,495 and use that money on the Miata, or should I sell my Miata for 4,225 and use that money on the PT Cruiser?
Your advice/opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Oh, one other thing. I'm assuming I would lose all my mods to the PT Cruiser if I sold it. However, I just noticed I can equip the Miata with the wheels I have on my PT Cruiser...and still have them on the PT Cruiser, too. When I buy a set of wheels, does that mean I have as many of that set as I have cars, or what?
Thanks!!

Sell the glorified Neon and soup up the Miata.

I got excited and thought you were talking about real racing... I have never played the game but if it uses real world geometry, you would do much better with the Miata as it has a lower center of gravity. And of course, it's just plain cooler in ever right. For sure the Miata should handle better...but cooler? I'm really not a fan of PT Cruisers, but the dark color mine's in with those wheels...looks nice. And I don't care for the looks of the Miata they gave me.
Oh well. It is racing and not a car show, though.
I want 'em both!George Grand wrote: »

ROFL!! You know, I sooooo wish there were cheats like that for GT3; I'd use 'em! But I don't think any exist.George Grand wrote: »

GT3?
what about GT4? The forever delayed version..
I played the hell out of GT3..that was the first game I had with the PS2..
GT4 was good as well, though..Pioneer Elite VSX-53, Polk RT800i fronts, Polk CS400i center, FX500i surround, Velodyne sub -
Holy cow!!! The Miata is a totally different ride!!
I went ahead and finished the FF Challenge before I sold the PT Cruiser. Won that event, sold whatever car I won and sold the PT Cruiser, and ended up with 14,483 to spend on the Miata.
Here's what I got:
-Raching Chip
-Racing Flywheel
-Stage 2 Turbo Kit
Wow, that's a short list to represent 14,299. But it is making 308hp now and 344 torque. Assuming they don't really mean 34.4. Are all the torque specs messed up in GT3? They sure seem like it.George Grand wrote: »

Why in the jahosephat would they list the torque ratings in newtons or w/e in the world it is? That's just plain ridiculous!
I mean, seriously,...why? That makes no sense!George Grand wrote: »

Merely because this is America, we don't use the metric system, I don't know of any other 'games' that use the metric system, and you certainly don't read about cars' output in the metric system in car magazines.George Grand wrote: »

Well, wrong.... we do use the metric system in America, even in the U.S. of America
Look into what's being used in science, medicine, engineering, and many businesses.
Ok; I'll stop being an a$$ now._________________________________________________

Hahaha. You're fine.
Yes, indeed, the metric system is used in TONS of areas in the USA, you're right...but in areas like science, medicine, etc like you listed. I stand by my point...you pick up any car magazine published in America, be it Popular Hot Rodding, Super Chevy, 5.0 Mustang, Sport Compact Car, Car and Driver, Truckin', whatever...they're NOT listing power output in metric units.
And BTW, I just got back from purchasing GT4...it gives you the option to decide what units the output's rated at.George Grand wrote: »
