Well guys I didn't want to sell her but my baby is up for sale because I am in a financial bind and it needs to be sold,I am the original owner and it has alway performed flawlessly and it is the second generation of DV-09s.
It is in pristine mint condition with the rosewood side panels and remote but no manual, I am asking $350.00 (I paid $1,849) PayPal preferred I will split shipping ,I will double box and it will arrive safely this one of the very best cd /dvd transport ever built just like a tank at 40 pounds.
Specs:Thx certified which meant something before .
In pristine cosmetic and excellent working condition, this DV-09 sports all the important features currently offered by today's best DVD players and then some. These include 10-bit video D/A converters, component-video outputs, a complete complement of composite and S-video jacks, and digital and analog audio outputs. The DV-09 plays DVDs, CDs, and Video CDs and is compatible with DTS DVDs. It also comes with a 96 kHz/24-bit DAC. The transport is dead-quiet.

This player offers a full range of picture and noise reduction adjustments. Separate adjustments are provided for brightness NR (YNR), Color NR (CNR), and overall Video NR (VNR). In addition, Sharpness can be adjusted in both Vertical (V SHARP), and Horizontal (H SHARP) modes. C LEVEL allows varying of colour depth (or saturation), while the most useful adjustment, Y/C TIMING gives the user control of picture color phase.
I have a replacement remote that I purchased from pioneer directly since the original got damaged.

Best- Great stuff - tested and approved in our top-secret labs.

    DVD PLAYERS

    First Class:
    Pioneer Elite DV-09
DVD players let you relax with a crystal-clear version of Brazil or dig deep into extras that don't come on tape. Pioneer's DV-09 follows the connoisseur path with fanatical precision and Russian-tank shielding. A 4.5-mm-thick case of copper-lined steel blocks static from nearby hair dryers, while copper partitions inside eliminate cross talk among subcomponents. A video circuit wipes out discrepancies on imperfectly mastered discs, while audio signal processors expand the player's frequency range up to 50 kHz. The THX-certified sound outputs digitally from optical or coaxial ports. Or you can use the analog stereo jacks.

    Elite DV-09: $2,200. Pioneer

It has a separate laser for reading cds and she is jitter free ,
she has a smooth treble, soft bass, and a deep soundstage and the chamber is airtight so as to isolate any unwanted motion within the machine itself giving smooth sound and clarity to cds and dvds ,as for the picture it has a very fine picture detail which is stunningly reproduced .
I have a collection of vcds from china since I am a kung-fu movie buff and when I used the player as a vcd player the vcds look like dvds on the screen
and like I said before the chamber is air tight which means alot when playing back any type of disc , and it is truly a reference player you can be sure of that ,and she has been very well cared for and I never let anyone mess with my gear (not even my wife) so it's in mint condition.

hi lou i have a quick question for you. i noticed that on your DV-09 it doesnt sport the DTS logo. while some DV-09s do why is that.? is t an option or what? THANKS SNOW
Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

It used to have this cheesy DTS sticker with red and white letters and I never put it on the player,it came with it but it takes away from the beauty of the unit but it does play dts dvds with no sweat .

the biggest reason i bought it was i have a matching pioneer elite F-91 tuner in mint condition that i picked up for the princely sum of $40.00 at the local pawn shop so i may make a pioneer system with the matching pre and amp if i can get them for a decent price. they are truly stunningly beautiful components. Speaking of Pioneer Elite systems. . .

I really like my little A-35R. Nothing fancy, but the thing just works extremely well with bookshelf speakers, looks great, remote is nice, etc.

I am looking for a Pioneer Elite DVD player on the cheap and would be willing to trade either some very nice 15ft AQ type 4 cables (three matching with spades) or maybe my Rotel RCC 945 6 disc player with remote.

If I get more serious about it, I'll take pics of the items and put something more formal in the FM section, just thinking out loud here.

I really like Pioneer Elite players, love my DV-59avi but I think it's overkill for my bedroom setup. Thinking a DV-45 / 46 / 47 would be best.
Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850
