Hello

We've never watched the series 24 and have been thinking about getting it on DVD. I was just curious about something though, are they doing the show in real time then, an hour is actually an hour in the show?

Thanks

That is correct. Each episode covers 1 hour in real time. So the entire season, 24 episodes, covers one day.

Not on DVD, you don't get the commercial breaks so each episode is actually like 45 minutes if I remember correctly.

It covered an hour time on TV though.

They want you to believe that it does, but it really doesn't account for an hour in real time.

My suggestion would just be to ignore all that if that's what you're going to focus on the entire time. Have fun! It's intense, and a blast to watch.

Yeah but they supposedly skip over the commercial time when they show the little clock, so... it's still 'real-time'.

But Demi's right, it's not at all reasonable that that much could happen in 24 hours, and the timeline is loose at best, so just ignore it and enjoy the show.

Also, 42 minutes without commercials. When you get a DVR, you learn these things. :D
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

My wife and I have been watching the seasons on DVD. I can't imagine what it will be like to have to wait each week to find out what will happen. I'm not sure I can take that kind of suspense.
