I recently bought a pair of momo mm12 12' for my car. I don't know much about amps and was wondering how many watts to get and how many channels it should have. Anyone have any suggestions????
Thanks
Doug:cool:

The MM12's are 500 watt subs if memory serves.

Youre probably going to want a Class D mono amp and so youd be wanting something in the 800-1000 watt range. Here are a couple good places to look around.

Most car amps are class A/B, class D's are newer to car audio. Class D amps are more efficient than class A/B's, they can produce alot of power without taking as a big hit on your electrical system. They have been mainly delegated to subwoofer duties for a couple of reaons. First they had issues with the frequency response over 200-250Hz, but this has been worked out now as you see full range class D amps around (Ice-Power), they have also not been as "clean" as the class A/B amps (not really an issued for driving a sub).
