I have a csi 30 speaker...the thing is too big to place anywhere but the floor now that ive gone to hdtv. (it used to set on top of my old tv.) Any suggestions on a smaller/just as good speaker?
The front speakers are rti 38's and the rears r 20's.
Thanks

Other possibilities then replacement ...
- On a shelf underneath
- On a stand in front
- Mounted to the ceiling -
I am thinking of getting an LCD myself. Here is what I found as a solution:

The bracket is a good idea. I didn't know that they made those but it is a great idea. PolkWannabie does have great ideas so do consider any of those. However, a center channel is NEVER too big. I still rock the CS350 and that is five driver and 26" wide! Center channels are a thing of beauty. Display them proud for the world to see, and don't ever think that you have too much.

Yeah ... The SRT Center is 26+ x 17+ x 6+ has 5 drivers as well and weighs 40 pounds ...
I have it positioned on a shelf below the TV with its face forward of the stand and angled slightly up i.e. pointed at ear level ...

ty for the inputs....the tv is in a corner so the brackets wont work ...it wont fit into the entertainment stand either...too wide. I have a small living room so i think ill just try to angle it up somehow. Ty for all the advice!

Definately don't get rid of the CSi30.... I have one in my family room (CSi40 in the theater) and it is a nice speaker. In fact, you need a set of RTi28's that I have for sale for your rears, so that you have a matching soundstage!"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." If you're wanting to place it lower and angle up, you could take a look at some of the older models (cs150, cs200, cs250s) that you can flip upside down to angle up. These may not be quite as nice as your csi30, but they aren't terrible (own a cs150 that I have used until recently). -
Im not sure of the dimensions of your TV, but i used this for mine, which is a DLP.

They carry them at CC also if that is closer.
Its a great little stand and seems to be able to hold a decent amount of weight. Also in black or silver to match the trim on your tv.
