Hey guys, I may be needing to do four in-walls in my theater, due to some space limitations, and am wondering which ones would be timber matched to my RTi70 CSi40 front soundstage.

I know the TC series is matched to the current RTi's, but I want to know what matches my oder ones.

Thanks!

It is interesting, when you look at polks website, it says the RCi line, like the RC65i, RC60i etc. are timber matched to the monitor series. However, if you look at Crutchfield, the description there says they are timber matched to the RTi series. I am wondering if these were matched to the older RTi line, then the new RTi line came out and they made the TCi line in to match the new ones, and kept the RC's around and then said they "matched" the monitor line.

The driver looks the same, and it says the tweeter is a silk dome, so they LOOK alot like the RTi70's speakers.

Am I smokin' over here? I would like to be able to buy RCi in walls, because they can be found really inexpensively online. Just want them to match!

Here is why I need inwalls now, the spot where I am putting my built in component rack is right where my FXi30's were. If I move them forward, closer to the Dolby Digital and THX recommended placements, they are closer to the seats, but I have limited walking space to go around the seats. Putting the side speaker there would cause head trauma everytime you enter the room!

So, I am hoping that the RC65i will be a suitable replacement for a pair of FXi30's and RTi28's.

The next question you guys could answer for me is this. I am tempted to put the RC65i right along side the front row for side surrounds, and am contemplating using RC60i in ceilings and placing them right above the second row, about a foot from the rear wall. The alternative is another set of rectangular RC65i's in the back wall. The back wall is four feet behind the front row, and the rear row is right up against the back wall. So, tell me what you guys think!

    Thanks!
