What is the importance of a THX Certified AVR over one that is not? Feeling truly newbish now. wow. sorry guys.

nothing more.. basically. when a stereo/electronic component is labled THX.. all it means is that is meets the minimum standards set forth by THX for home use. it doesn't make it better... or louder.. or prettier.. if it's important to you that you have a THX receiver.. buy one. otherwise.. you may be paying extra for the THX logo.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

The THK label means that the manufacturer paid for having that label, but many others also meet those standards (maybe most others), but decide not to pay THK for the endorsement._________________________________________________

Never been much of a label guy myself....that clears that up. The audio stores make it out to be this great thing. When I demo'd them, didn't seem to be different or better. Thanx!!:D*The Newb From Hell*
