Hi,
I bought a tt from a guy and he gave me a speakerlab 10" sub with the matching amp. He said the amp didnt work but it works fine. He was moving to Costa Rica soon and seemed to think I would be able to use it. The cabinet is a big square coffee table type with a removeable oak top. It is a sealed box, no ports. From what I have read I should be able to make a new cabinet of any shape as long as the volume is the same as the stock one. I bypassed the built-in xover and use the controls in my AVR. I would like to make the cabinet a better shape to fit behind the AV/TV stand I will be building soon. The stand will be in a corner at an angle and so a tall wedge shaped box would be better. We are not into home theater that much and it works well enought for what we need but it would be nice if it could fit behind the AVR/TV cabinet. Am I on the right track here?
