"Give it Back" Karma

I was very excited when I won the official Polk Christmas Karma; there's no better way Polk could say that they appreciate us. Thanks so much to Paul, Al...and also Mark.

My plan was to use it for surrounds in my HT; I have RTi front stage and JBL side and back surrounds...but guess what...these bookshelves are HUGE, and there's no way I can hang them in the wall; they'd look odd, and sooner or later someone would get an open wound in the head.

I really have no use for them, so why have those beautiful cherry RTi6 speakers in their box in my basement, while some polkie out there can have a use for them. Speakers are made to produce sound.

So this is the continuation of the Official Polk Christmas 2006 karma.

Requisites:

-25 posts minimum.

-You MUST have a use for them; there's no way to verify this, but it would be great if these speakers went to a home where they will be used/loved (so don't do what I did :))

Karma will close Sunday 21.

    I am in!

Between the new house and the baby on the way (due in March), there is very little WAF around here for a nice new pair of speakers. Add to the fact that the RTi6's would be a much better fit for my current living room, I really want in.

I would listen to them and hug them everyday!

    Thanks

They will either go on my desk at work or they will be used as side surrounds in a 7.1 HT.

These would work out really nice in our little home gym. I'm sure everyone would really enjoy them while doing a little cardio. Plus, anything given to me right now is worth its weight in gold cause all my money is going towards my education. University is rather costly, lol, but in the will be worth it.

Wow. Very noble of you. I'm impressed :D

I am currently building my dad a surprise HT for his birthday in June, and this would really help ease the burden of a front set of speakers for him. Plus, they are rock solid with a good sub I've been told for HT.

    Definitely IN!

In please. I am in the process of revamping my rig....I have a young daughter (2 years old) and when she was born I had to get rid of my towers for fear of them toppling onto her as she climbed up. We have since redone the living room and I am able to get towers again. After having a couple glasses of wine with dinner last night, I brought up the subject of renovating the surround sound. The wife AGREED that I could (so I am hurrying before she realizes that she actually said yes). I am in the process of searching for budget friendly Polk towers and have built in bookshelves in the rear where the surrounds would fit.

    Thanks man.

    Awesome, unbelievable Karma... IN

I keep planning on putting together a HT in the new house and the plan always gets derailed. This would be a perfect start-up kit:)
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore
