Anyone know if the CSi5 is matched to the LSi15's?

    It is not..

    that would be the LSiC
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. I'm sure they are not, but if they were close enough to live without LSiC for a few months, i may pick up a pair.

    Thanks zombie boy 2000.

Great deal on lsi15 in the classifieds but I don't feel like spending another 600 or so for another center.

    oh well

What color is your CSi-5? If it is cherry, I may have some interest. I have a CSi-40 in black and with a re-location in my near future, I may "need" a cherry-colored center.

Warning, no previous experience with either speaker. . .but

I would say if you find the Lsi15s for a great deal and have the amplification required to run them properly (200 wpc separate amp @ 4 ohms), go for it! The Csi5 won't be perfect, but for HT I'm sure you'll be fine. Heck, you could probably get away with selling it and running a phantom center (I guess a 4.1 system) until you save enough for the LsiC. Just the gain in musical 2.0 improvement would be worth the buy.

Or, put them in a separate 2-channel system. If the deal is good enough, you can try them out and sell them if needed for the same price.
Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850

Agree 1000000% with Andy. Don't pass up an awesome deal (and it is an awesome deal) on the LSi15's just because you don't currently have the cheddar for a matching center... The CSi5 will serve just nicely in the interim.

Build the system in stages like people are saying. In the end you get what you want. I used RTi with LSi for a short period of time. Was it matched - NO, but it worked. The deal was right at the time. Good luck.

    Decisions, decisions, decisions…

Anyone have any experience with the Outlaw 7700 driving the LSi15? I currently use it to drive my rti10’s

It has 300wpc @ 4ohms which I think should be enough but I have heard these 15’s need a lot of power.

I have seen that seller before... one too many negatives for my tolerance after being burned in the past. Thanks for the info though.

You are one step ahead than most Kelley. Most people get the speakers & then have to be told to get an Outaw 7700. Those LSI's will absolutely sing with that power.

    Congrats!
