PS3 HDMI problems

I've been through nothing but crap with two of these,has anyone had problems with the HDMI output on this console?

HDMI is designed for "plug and go" operation. You have to make sure you have the same resolution on the unit and monitor.
Two of these???? HDMI's or PS3's.
Are you pluging the PS3 directly to the monitor?
Are you getting sound?

I'm plugging it into the HDMI port on my tv,seems there are alot of little tricks to get the HDMI connection between the two,like making sure your tv is in HDMI mode before you power the PS3 up,also holding the power button down 5 seconds until second beep so they can shake hands,I'm trying my second PS3 right now,hopefully the first one was not operating properly.

Bingo,this one works just fine,there are quite a few with HDMI problems I see after visiting Sony's PS3 forum.

There's problems with HDMI across the board with several different products when it comes to handshake etc. so I am not surprised. Hopefully you will work it out.

I had a heck of time getting mine to work. I could get it to work on the RPCRT but not on my LCoS display. I had to go into the service menu and reset the HDMI board.

On top of that I had a really hard time getting the network to work with it and Blu-ray titles and downloaded HD videos stuttered a good amount. I ended up having to do a full format of the drive which took a few hours but after that everything worked just fine. Major pain right out of the box though.
