I found the following pics on sundstage.com's coverage of CES....

BTW, glad to see Proton's back. That's Proton....not Protron, which is being sued by Proton.

Magnepull... Is that a joke?! Will it really work? What happens when you run into a stud with it? Interesting idea, just curious if it is actually practical!

Oh, and now how will these new Polk Subs, compare to SVS?!

Yeah, I've got my doubts there, too. I've gotten a fish wire stuck on f---ing insulation, so those would have to be damn strong magnets to have enough pull to drag wires though walls.

I thought the magnepull looked like a great idea. Maybe not for $130 or whatever, but when it's widely produced by several manufacturers, I'm sure it will be in the $20-$30 range in no time. I'd give it a try once the prices comes down.

1200W Bash amp?!?!? Do you need special homeowners insurance to purchase one? Does an engineer need to evaluate the HT room before you are allowed to install? If that's RMS power, I may pull the trigger once I get a bigger, dedicated HT room.

Some electricians had almost the same thing on a site I was at last month.
They said it worked great, even in insulated walls.
Obviously , it won't get you around a stud, but for up and down it rules.
Yes, the one I saw had one serious magnet on it. Good for messing with
the hard drive of someone less than popular at work.
I need to get one to call my very own.

I like the idea of the room balancing feature of cancelling the signals prior to it leaving the sub. It gives them much more control and you won't get distorted bass from +6 db gains.
Lovin that music year after year.

    Computer Rig

    Polk SDA CRS+,

I am guessing that number comes from being sealed units with passives..... Which is pretty common amount of power. I believe the SVS PB2's have about the same power (ported), and yes they rock. I HAVE cracked drywall.
Sounds like a good move for Polk subs.

I've never really heard anyone on these boards talk about Carver's Sunfire subs, which these new Polks are clearly emulating, which is surprising because they seem pretty incredible in terms of size, output, and accuracy. But they're out of my price range, just like these new Polks :)
