Are GT12AX7R's worth a try?

I've got 2 of these Groove Tubes and was wanting to try them in my AE symphonies pre but it takes 3. Will they sound good enough to buy a 3rd on ebay for $20 shipped. I think my pre currently has sovteks in it.
