Which subs? DVC v. SVC? 4 v 2 ohm

I just realized that one of my subs came apart. I put too much stuff in the trunk of my car and it just pushed it through.
I am currently powering them via an Eclipse 24320 amp. It is a 380w x2 @4 ohm (RMS) amplifier. The Eclipse brochure does not say whether the amp is stable at 2ohm. However, I do not know what kind of subs I have. They are 10 inch Alpine type S dual voice coil, but I do not know if they are the 4ohm or 2 ohm version.
Anyway, I would like to know which would be the best type of subs to get for my amplifier? A point I would like to consider is that I may end up with another amp, so each one of the subs would be powered by its own amp in the future.
